Most of the work freelance writers do today falls under the heading of Content Marketing. Although my blog and courses focus on the business side of freelancing, I get asked all the time about resources available for non-fiction writers to sharpen their skills. My current favorite is the Content Marketing Institute, which hosts a variety of classes and conferences. One of my colleagues has attended their annual conference for three years in a row and raves about it. I haven’t participated in any of their paid events yet, but the weekly articles I receive from them are terrific – full of tips and insights on how to produce content that inspires action in your target audience. Unfamiliar with the Content Marketing Institute? Check out one of their recent posts that will help you sidestep many common content marketing mistakes.
